Do Work That Matters
New School students do work that matters. Original work. This isn鈥檛 high school as you鈥檝e imagined it. Yes, TNS students master an exacting college prep curriculum. But they鈥檙e also out in the world, learning alongside entrepreneurs, artists, politicians, biochemists, and dozens of other passionate professionals doing important work–because the city is the most exciting classroom. 91短视频 – get ready to launch.
Community-Engaged Learning
Students learn best when they鈥檙e deeply engaged in their work and know that something other than a grade is at stake. Conducting Biology experiments with scientists at Zoo Atlanta and the Georgia Aquarium. Performing Shakespeare for passersby on the BeltLine. Pitching diabetes interventions to a team from Emory鈥檚 School of Public Health. At TNS, students use the whole city as their classroom.
TNS School Culture
Students often say that 91短视频 is a place where they can be themselves. That鈥檚 not the way people usually think of high school. But TNS students and faculty work hard every day to build a community of learners who care about and support each other. That鈥檚 reflected in our school values. It鈥檚 most obvious in the experience of our students, who feel that their teachers are trusted advisors, and that their peers are collaborators, not competitors. Come experience what a difference a positive school culture can make in the life of a teen.
The Arts at TNS
91短视频 is alive with the arts, and we foster the creative impulse in all of our students, with classes in Design, Filmmaking, Drama, and Creative Writing, as well as student-run Art Club, Fashion Club, and two rock bands. But we don鈥檛 keep the arts in a silo at TNS. Our students use their artistic skills and ways of thinking in all of their classes, as well as in their lives outside of school. Many go on to the nation鈥檚 top arts schools, but everyone leaves high school with a deep appreciation of the importance of the arts to a well-lived life.
